Wilmington VAMC

The joint venture of DCI/J&I was awarded the $4.5 Million renovation project to the west wing of the 6th floor at the Wilmington, Delaware V.A. Hospital. This 10,000+ square foot project includes asbestos abatement complete demolition down to the existing 1947 structure and complete new interior construction. The new design and layout was created to accommodate the flexible “swing space” need of the VA and includes exam rooms, procedure rooms, patient waiting, staff work areas as well as all supporting spaces such as vitals, medicine and housekeeping. This project involved A/E design disciplines including: Architectural, M.E.P., Fire Protection, Environmental and Interior Design. Detailed cost estimating services were also provided.
